added on: August 12, 2020

Jessica is a native Spokanite who graduated from North Central High School and is a recent 2022 graduate of Eastern Washington University where she completed a major in dental hygiene with minors in sociology and communications.  Entering dental hygiene school during the height of the pandemic offered Jessica a case study in maintaining strict infection controls while following extensive protocols in order to take care of patients.  When asked why she chose dental hygiene, Jessica stated it was “for the love of being able to meet new people and to help others”.  Two of her passions in dental hygiene is looking at the oral-systemic link and educating others about how oral health care can affect the entire body.  Jessica has achieved her own notoriaty by being featured in EWU’s alumni magazine where she was highlighted for being one of the first recipients of the Krumble Scholarship which is awarded to junior and senior students at EWU who demonstrate grit.  During her free time, you might find Jessica playing volleyball and trying new local restaurants.  She also enjoys traveling as much as possible and include Banff, Hawaii and Chicago as some of her favorite destinations.
