Harold
Business Manager
Harold holds an undergraduate degree in Math Education from Eastern Washington University, a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Eastern Washington University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Gonzaga University.
He has been officially involved as Dr. Hakes’ business manager since 1998. Prior that he taught middle school mathematics for 10 years in Renton and Nine Mile Falls, WA. In 1998, he resigned from teaching to focus full-time on the practice. These days he spends his time in the office with responsibilities ranging from accounts payable, payroll, marketing, and management to office repair and maintenance, donut pickup, and plumbing – and he loves it! “What don’t I love about my job?” he asks. “I work with great, professional people and with my wife and daughter. Everyday is different and challenging, and we assist all of our patients in their quest for great oral health care with excellent clinical skills, knowledgeable team members and our compassion for people. Our practice is special, in large part because of the doctors at the head of the practice. They both stay abreast of the latest information and technology and incorporates these for the benefit of their patients. Katie and Jackie also explain procedures to patients in a manner in which they understand and allows them to be a proactive member of their oral health care. And to top it off, we have an excellent administrative and clinical team who have high integrity and compassion for our patients.” In his free time, Harold enjoys walking, travel, studying piano, and watching soccer matches. He has been married to Katie since 1988. They have 3 children: Jackie, Nick and Alex.
Jessica
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica is a native Spokanite who graduated from North Central High School and is a 2022 graduate of Eastern Washington University where she completed a major in dental hygiene with minors in sociology and communications. Entering dental hygiene school during the height of the pandemic offered Jessica a case study in maintaining strict infection controls while following extensive protocols in order to take care of patients. When asked why she chose dental hygiene, Jessica stated it was “for the love of being able to meet new people and to help others”. Two of her passions in dental hygiene are looking at the oral-systemic link and educating others about how oral health care can affect the entire body. Jessica has achieved her own notoriaty by being featured in EWU’s alumni magazine where she was highlighted for being one of the first recipients of the Krumble Scholarship which is awarded to junior and senior students at EWU who demonstrate grit. During her free time, you might find Jessica playing volleyball and trying new local restaurants. She also enjoys traveling as much as possible and includes Banff, Hawaii and Chicago as some of her favorite destinations.

Karissa
Registered Dental Assistant
A graduate of Apollo College and our Lead Dental Assistant, Karissa is as dedicated to her job as she is to her active, outdoor lifestyle. She loves sharing the idea that people can get healthier and happier through dentistry, and making sure that every patient receives the best care possible. Karissa also appreciates the way the staff works together as a team to support the undimmable passion of the doctors. When she isn’t helping patients find their smiles, Karissa enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, and running. She also relishes spending time with friends and family.

Lesa
Registered Dental Hygienist
Lesa started in dentistry as a dental assistant and, in 1995, graduated from Eastern Washington University with her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Dental Hygiene. Having been in dentistry since 1989, Lesa loves every opportunity to educate her patients about their periodontal health and helping them achieve and maintain their periodontal health. A member of the Inland Northwest Hygiene Study Club, Lesa continues to stay abreast of changes in dentistry that will benefit her patients and the office as a whole. With her desire to stay current in changes in dentistry, Lesa loves the fact that Integrated Dental Arts also stays current in technology.
Married, Lesa has four adult children and three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Morgan
Dental Assistant
Morgan is a graduate of the Spokane Dental Assisting School and brand new to the dental field. As such, Morgan is entrenched in learning as much about the field of dentistry as possible. Her main responsibilities are assisting the dentists and hygienists in providing exceptional care for our patients. Some of the aspects she loves about her job are the chance to learn and grow everyday. Also the “family” type feeling of the office and the team members offers make it a warm, friendly and welcoming place for our patients and team members.
When Morgan is away from the office, she can be found hanging with her two dogs, Sophie – a Saint Bernard and Oliver – a Corgie. A fun fact is that Morgan is also a small breeder of hedgehogs. She also enjoys taking lake days with her friends and family.
Peggy
Patient Care Coordinator
A long-time veteran of the dental field, Peggy graduated from Spokane Community College where she was thoroughly trained in all aspects of dental assisting, including assisting the dentist and ordering materials. Peggy loves working at Integrated Dental Arts, in part because of the scope of treatment offered by the practice, and in part because it is exciting to work with doctors who are always on the leading edge of dentistry, both with equipment and with techniques. She also appreciates the constant continuing education offered to keep the team up to date. Peggy has transitioned to the role of Patient Care Coordinator, utilizing her many years as a Registered Dental Assistant to provide ongoing service to our valued patients.
Samantha
Patient Care Coordinator
Samantha graduated from Spokane Community College as a dental assistant in 2007. Following graduation, Samantha has been very active and involved in all aspects of the dental field, from chair side assisting to administrative roles. Samantha spent five years in a leadership capacity working for a non-profit organization associated with the Spokane District Dental Society. In her spare time away from the dental community, you can find Samantha on her small ranch, where she and her family enjoy raising and taking care of a multitude of farm animals, as well as harvesting hay. She also enjoys hiking, fishing, foraging, 4-H and camping with friends.
Sarah
Patient Care Coordinator
Sarah has been involved in the dental community for over nine years. Prior to dentistry, Sarah had a career in commercial and residential interior design. What Sarah loves most about dentistry is the opportunity to get to know our fabulous patients and their families. When Sarah is not in the office providing great service to our patients, she can be found being entertained by her two teenage boys: one who a recent HS grad who will be attending Weber State on a golf scholarship in the fall and the other who loves playing football for his high school team. Other activities that keeps Sarah active include gardening, floating in the pool in the summer, traveling as much as possible and hanging out with her kids and dogs at home.
Stephanie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Stephanie loves the opportunity to work two compassionate female dentists. She also loves the opportunity to work one-on-one with patients by getting to know them and partnering with them to either maintain their great oral health or to make positive changes in their present oral health. A registered hygienist since 2008, Stephanie continues to take continuing education courses to maintain and strengthen her skills. When she is not seeing patients or taking CE courses, Stephanie can be found spending time with her three children and family. She is an avid outdoor person particularly enjoying camping, hiking and boating.

Tami
Registered Dental Hygienist
A member of both the Washington State Dental Hygienists Association and the American Dental Hygienists Association, Tami is really proud of her job at Integrated Dental Arts, in part because she gets to work for and with two very skilled female dentists. She takes pleasure in helping patients relax and overcome their dental fears while educating them in keeping their mouths healthy and whole, and working with the most up-to-date technology. When not caring for patient smiles, Tami likes spending time with her husband, Ben, reading, biking, and snowshoeing.
